Color has always fascinated me.

I remember going into the hardware store with my Dad as a kid. He’d go in search of nails, screws and hammers, but where would you find me? In front of the paint samples, completely mesmerized.

For me, color sparks memories and emotions - so I like to make liberal use of it in my paintings. I want my artwork to stir your heart and remind you of that perfect day at the beach … the brilliant sunset last night … or the field overflowing with beautiful wildflowers you discovered while on vacation.

That’s why I lean toward abstraction in my paintings.

You see, my desire is to use my paintings to set up a mood … an emotion … a point of reference for you. I want you to be able to interpret my paintings in many different ways, so that they take on new life every time they’re viewed.
